get some fluorescent beer lights,hang them 42.5 off the playing surface

I have beer lights about 36in off playing surface.

we have 4 - 8ft long florescent tubes above each of our tables.

I like them between 48-50 inches high off the slate harder to hit your head or with your cue when playing out in the middle of the table jacked up. You can get a light to measure densitythis will maximise your lighting for the right hieght depending on bulbs used.
