Table Problems and Fixes List - GC IV

I believe that all of the information you need already exists and can be found in this forum. Excruciating detail of each model is unnecessary because the most important part of table selection and setup, once you decide your table preference, is your selection of table mechanic.

An experienced mechanic will deal with the issues associated with a specific table and the actual table you purchase.

I'll Stop

To be a knowledgeable consumer you'd first half to care enough to research what you're buying, and I'm sorry buy 99% of consumers nust spend the money, and a lot of it is on junk. Second, where do you propose finding all the info you're asking for seeings how I'm the one who's provided most of the knowledge here on AZB you're researching, and that is nothing compared to the detailed list of each individual pool table mentioned that i could put together. But like i asked already, what's in it for me seeinvs how most buyers wouldn't read it anyway, let alone pay for that info.

I Agree With You RKC.

You Have Been the Most Forth Coming With Knowledge, Ideas and Solutions.

I Was Concerned That The Knowledge Could Be Used By Hacks to Better Their Work.

I Will Stop Because I Do Not Want to Hurt Any True Mechanic.

Not All of Us Live Near a Real Table Mechanic or Know Who They Are.

It sounds to me like you have a good idea of what the issues are. Are you trying to install the table yourself?

Just Trying to Know Who the Hacks Are.

Example:

How Do I Know If My GCIV Rails Have Already Been Calibrated?

I'm not going to do the work myself but I want to check this off the list of things to be done before a Mech comes out.

How do I Know If My Subrails Have Been Done?
To What Angles?
Are The Angles Correct?
How Do I Check?
Width of Pockets?
How Do I Measure?

I Could Send the Rails to You Only to Find Out No Work is Needed.
Time and Money Wasted. Yours and Mine.
Wait...... I'm Sure You Would and Should a Charge for the Inspection.
More Wasted Expense on my end.

Thank You for What You Do.
I Would Never Try to Setup and Correct Tables.
The Installing of the Cloth Scares Me.

Yes, All of the Info I Gathered is from Past Posts, Articles, Discussions, Observations.
I am not asking for anyone to do the gathering.
Just Discussion and Verification.

I Did Suggest That People With a Different Model Ask Their Questions on a Different List.

All Discussion Forums Tend to Wander Off Topic and Most Times Turn Ugly.
I Think We Are Headed that Way Already.
That's Why I Already Said I Would Stop Giving Out The Knowledge in a Condensed Form.

Detail is Important. Knowledge is Important.
Do You Blindly Agree to Every Option/Repair Suggeted by the Car Dealership/Repair Shop?
No, You Do Research, Ask Questions and Listen for BS.

How Do I Know I Am Dealing with an "Experienced Mechanic"?
How Do I Know Who is an "Experienced Mechanic"?

You have not even said where you live so someone could recommend a mechanic to you. You seem to want to argue and might have too much time on your hand.....

Stop wasting all these peoples time...

Argue?

Discussion is Not Arguing.

Only You Waste Your Own Time.
I Have No Control Over You.

My Location Has Nothing to Do with the Information Gathering.

Again, I am Sorry That This Turned Ugly So Fast.

You Guys Are Scaring Away the People Who Want to Learn About Pool.
:crying:
I'm gonna preface this by saying I'm NOT a table mechanic.....

The knowledge base here for people wanting to learn about "pool" is vast and shared daily!

You don't need to know table mechanics to learn how to play pool. I'm a professional in my own field. It seems to me like these guys are protecting their investment. That investment is time, something they can't get back! Oh, and the way they make a living!

I can appreciate what you're attempting in this thread. But I also completely understand the responses that you've received from those in the know.

Sorry I was not clear enough, What I meant was: I pray for anyone who would ever attempt to accept you as a customer!
