Table size opinion

I was thinking of getting a 9' pocket table and build a rail conversion for 3c (not just pocket inserts). Anyone have any experience in doing this or opinion on how it might play different from the normal carom table?

the thickness of the slate of a pocket table is IMHO too thin to make a good carom table. The table won't play bad, but it's not the same ... but it's better than no table , so, if it was my only choice, i would go for it . ( and then day after day, i would save money for a 10 feet with a 50mm slate...)
