About two years ago we acquired this TAD-45 and had been playing with it till I sold it on around Dec 2020.
Recently bought it back from the new owner, I’m happy we did because this cue certainly plays sweet for a TAD, and the big pin (wood-to-wood) makes the cue pings so true.
This cue features a nice birdseye maple forearm. Four vibrant laminates (white/red/white/black). Four ebony points. Diamond and dotted inlays into the points. TAD signature window-style buttsleeve w/ same veneer combo. White w/ green speckles irish linen wrap. Juma joint & ferrules. Delrin buttcap. 3/8x12 pin.
Comes w/ genuine TAD 1B2S delrin JPs.
I will also throw in a set of 1B3S matching wood & rings JPs custom made by a cuemaker. This set cost me about US$450.
Specs:
Butt: 15.56oz
Shaft 1: 3.73oz (12.83mm)
Shaft 2: 3.96oz (12.91mm)
Condition:
Both shafts are well-used, regularly cleaned & reconditioned.
Shaft 1 has the nice seasoned patina look.
Shaft 2 still has some finish on it, but has some slight signs of use/ wear & peel.
Butt:
— Delrin has some signs of use (finish flaw).
— Buttsleeve has some minimal flaws, here and there.
— Points (on veneers) has one small ding.
— Forearm (below joint) has two minor dents.
— Ringwork (below joint) has some signs of use (finish flaw).
(Check the last few pictures of this album for closeup of all the flaws mentioned)
If you know TAD Cues well enough, they have very thin finish and with time, it will wear & peel. Hence, most old pre-serial TADs have the satin no-finish look.
Price: $OLD shipped express worldwide
Enjoy the pictures!
Thank you,
