Taipei

Anyone want to play some pool in Taipei?

Does anyone know a good club which is smoke-free?

Thanks.

You gonna have a hard time finding one as most pool hall will go under if they actually stop their customer from smoking altho it is against the law to smoke indoors.

But i do remember one which prohibits smoking by having a isolated smoking room in the middle.
It's call Chong Qing valley bowl house, it's a big bowling alley with a pool room inside, saw a couple female pros practicing there the last time i was working in Taipei.
Not sure if it's still open, try googling it

Good luck :)

The one sits inside a bowling house is Chung Cheng. The bowling house closed maybe a year ago, but pool room part moved to a nearby location, room is still called Chung Cheng.

Rumor says it Chung Cheng will be a smoke-free room after 9/15, this is yet to be confirmed. Guess next time I go to Chung Cheng I will find out. :D

Most pool rooms in Taipei are not smoke-free, only exceptions I am aware of (excluding Chung Cheng) are 1 room named A-One near Taipei Main Station, and another close to Neihu subway station.

Thanks for the info.

I tried to Google for Chung Cheng but couldn't find anything as I cannot speak/read Chinese. Does anyone have the new English address for Chung Cheng?

Actually , all you gotta do is ask , taiwanese are very warm n receptive towards foreigners, just try to pronounce Chung Cheng to the best of ur ability.
Pool community in TW is really small, they will definitely know.
Anyway, any pool hall that is smoke free in Taiwan is prob not worth going in my opinion , most taiwan pros ,semi pros or serious players incl me lol are chain smokers and massive chewing gum eaters ( taiwanese version that's filled w bright red juice ) .

Just my 2 cents :)
