Talisman or Whitten confused?

...The Whitten is a Cadillac of pool cases for the price. I am not impressed with gaudy cars nor with the springs in the bottom of the Whitten case where you can bounce your shafts up and down.

The Tasilman shaft tubes are superior to any cases out there. The shafts drop downward and are held perfectly straight when in storage because the tubes are smaller than the shafts. Your shafts don't sit straight up like in the Whitten and LEAN this way or that while in storage....Good luck, WW

Very intersting points WW. I don't know about anyone else's cues but all of my shafts with joint protectors on them have only about 1/32nd of an inch room there and when I took the spacers out of the case at one point there was an indent where the tip meets the rubber part and it looks to me that it stays pretty darn straight.

Also, I would think that if a shaft is a quality shaft the 1 degree or so that it would be possible to be tilted would not cause any problems, or at least would take decades of being in the same position to cause a problem.

One thing that I liked about the instroke I had was that the cue butts didn't move so I have thought about making a styrofoam doughnut shaped insert to put around the top of the cue to guard against high speed vibration should the case fall off of a tall table or something like that.

I do have to note that I can't compare the Whitten to a Talisman because I have never seen/used a Talisman to compare it to.
