Why does Talisman offer Domed and non-domed tips?

Does it involved shaping the tip on a lathe? Heat issues?
Anyone know?

Ive used both

The domed ones come that way if you prefer to just trim up the sides and play, I believe they are vickel shaped. Do to them being pre-shaped, there are less layers as compared to the non-dommed ones.
I prefer to buy the non-domed simply because all of my tips are put on using a huge lathe and tips prefrom the best when freshly cut and shapped. JMO
