Taom chalk question.

People, in general, are idiots. I
There are plenty of examples to suggests that is true. But, if it was true, you would never have a pretty much effective but complicated road system that we have. If they were idiots, transportation would have to be something like trains, planes, and buses but not to let just about anyone have a car. Despite the idiocy, people seem to handle it ok, even drive without thinking at times (!) and still I can drive each day and very likely not get in an accident. There should be ten times the amount of accidents if they were as dumb as sometimes they appear to be.

It may have been put on there as a joke, but likely not since some laws are just idiotic. The Dell computers we buy at work have a large 6 inch long warning not to take out and swallow the CMOS button battery that is on the motherboard.

People, in general, are idiots. It seems like 10% of the population is just there to make sure the other 90% lives past 30.

I think it's all about catering to people so companies don't get sued. Money money money, makes the world go around!

Guess it will be some European safety requirement. Always a ton of 'just in case' that goes along with Euro safety standards. In case a kid eats it, then they can say 'well we did have this warning on it, you ain't suing nobody'
Well... I find it somewhat amusing that "European safety requirement" was the very first thing that got thrown out, even though it is America that is best known for it's frivolous lawsuits.. Not... pretty much any country in Europe.

I can only assume you are American, having suggested that it is "anyone else" responsible for this. The labels get made based on who the main "customer" is, BTW...

"Keeping an eye on the world from a room with no windows", and all that.....

Its the butthurt litigious American society we now live in. Everyone wants to be a victim and sue someone else for their stupidity hence these goofy warning labels. BTW, do they make it in watermelon???? ;)
Correction in your post, bolded for emphasis... This is not a "worldwide" problem, FYI...

I think European safety standards and product guidelines generally operate a 'cover all the bases' type methodology.

But then, Europe also uses safety standards to limit and fix the market - look at NCAP safety ratings on cars as an example. Which exclude certain brands they don't want in their market by fabricating ludicrous requirements.

Nope, European

True... Pool players... Who are the majority bar fly imbeciles... Take a trip to NPR and have a gander at their three combined brain cells bumping together. It is highly likely that more than a few see chalk as a tasty treat 😂 (often thankful for the few of you here, and in real life, that make the pool hall a much more enjoyable place to be)

Well, as much as everybody likes to think they are looking on the world with open eyes, or that the platform offered by their country is somehow more elevated than others, the truth is, all countries are limited. All people are fixed by their societal expectations, collective culture and education, and ultimately, in their way of seeing the world.
Very few possess the actual ability to acknowledge how these control and shape us, our interactions when considering the validity of knowledge or information, let alone consider trying to reach beyond the learned behaviors that make us perceive and interact with knowledge in the ways that we do.

If you think people on the road drive OK you aint paying attention. I see single car wrecks on the hi-way almost every day, even when its day time and sunny, all the traffic is moving the same direction, no traffic signals and only the occasional off ramp. Then on city streets you have people turning left from the right lane, turning right from the left lane, coming to a complete stop then crossing 3 lanes so they don't miss their turn, people that swing out left before turning right because they think that their Prius is 80 feet long, people that drive thru a red light because the left turn arrow illuminates, etc. I could go on with probably another 20 examples, in general many do not drive well, you don't need to spend a lot of time driving to discover this.

You make a point, but you have to admit that driving doesn't require a lot of intelligence or skill, just attention.

With today's RAMPANT cell-fone usage i see neither intelligence or skill in today's drivers. Blows my mind how many braindead jackoffs drive around without lookin out the windshield. Fkng lunacy.

Good thing is, you don't have to worry about any brain cells bumping into yours.

You think women play as well as men and there should be no women's league at all 🤦‍♂️
