After watching many hours of pool this last week, I noticed more misscues then I have in the past? Also, it appears that most of the players are all using Taom Chalk. I also think this chalk is overrated but it does help keep the table cleaner than conventional chalk. The visual of those misscues with the in close video does not help their brand. Most of the misscues were in the round of 16 where we saw the action on tables 1 and 2. Every shot could be worth thousands of $$$$$.

A lot of the snooker players have changed over to Taom to avoid what they call "kicks". I think I've noticed more miscues.

The latest version of Taom is said to reduce the miscue problem.

I noticed more miscues when I was using Taom. Many of them were sort of half miscues that left a white spot on the tip.

I noticed more miscues when I tried the blue Taom. I haven't noticed them after switching to the V10

Interesting. I've been using the blue Taom Pyro for over a year now and I feel like my incidence of miscues has dropped. Had just been using the house supplied Masters before that but have previously used things like Blue Diamond or Magic Chalk as well.

Perhaps though, it's because along with the change to Taom I've focussed on my pre-shot routine to always include chalking...in large part just to keep track of my piece of chalk and so I always remember to grab it when I move around the table or back to the chair.

Love the Taom Pryo myself, I've noticed my hands and shafts staying noticeably cleaner with it.
