TAOM V10

Finally got my hands on a piece of Taom V10, just as clean as Pyro if not cleaner. The color is very light lime green and coats the tip with ease, deffinetly a step up from pyro as far as miscue limit and grip. Like they claim in advertisement this chalk is no gimmick, it is clean, grippy, and also applies better than pyro especially to harder tips and synthetic tips, pyro did not. I still like Pyro but for a few bucks more V10 has a ton to offer the player.
I also got V10 now and loving it. Slow spin shots on miscue limit were Pyro weakness. This fixed that. Also works good on all tips.
I now played it couple weeks and it wear down little faster than Pyro IMO but still it will last a long time.
One downside seem to be if you hit table with tip, chalk is hard to remove from cloth. Some players dig their tips to cloth when they draw and i would not recommend this chalk to those players.
Everyone else : 10/10

Anyone got some feedback on this new green stuff :p Im a sucker for my pyro. From what I heard thus far is it's more grippy and goes on hard tips better than pyro, and still is just as clean if not more.
By far the best chalk I have ever used. Grips and applies much better than the Pyro or the Mezz Exceed chalk, and is unbelievably clean. I was concerned about the green color showing up on our tournament blue Simonis, but absolutely not.

Yes, it is pricey, and I I’m not crazy about the round shape, but it is easily the best chalk I have ever used and I’ve tried a lot.

Where can this chalk be purchased in the US. ?? Thanks
Seyberts did have it but they are currently sold out. There is a seller on Amazon that has it, but it’s quite $ pricey, even with the free prime shipping.

It’s considerably less pricey purchased directly from Taom, but the shipping charges are ridiculous, unless you order multiple pieces, in which case the total shipping cost is the same regardless of whether you order one piece or nine pieces.

I just got a order I ordered here in Canada direct from Finland and it came quick. The more you buy its slightly cheaper.

MARC (azb) may still have some V10. Well worth the price. Especially for those that use a hard tip.

IMHO, comparing this to anything else is a joke. People will believe what they want to believe, especially if they think they're saving a couple of bucks. I play every day, and two of these will easily last a year.

I'd like to hear what Dr. Dave has to say about the V10/Pyro comparison. As someone above mentioned, slow/softer spin shots, and masse' shots are easier with the V10. This stuff really grips, and it stays on the tip, not on the cueball.

If I came in blue, I might consider it. Routine table cleaning isn’t good enough, as the chalk marks require additional ‘spot’ attention to remove from green cloth.
One advantage of blue Pyro i’ve noticed: It DOES suppress the tendency to overuse english (and push the envelope), something I’ve always been too casual about.

I'm never using anything else again, I can shoot a whole rack of 8ball with a single chalking.

i have done that masters

Probably what he always said, Magic Chalk, was the highest rated and nothing beat it yet. Hey, I like healthy competition, nothing wrong with second place for most folks ;)

haha Dr Dave is using old blue Pyro himself btw... ;)
Still doesn't change the facts. Hey, folks can overpay for stuff, it's good for business. Trust me, our light green chalk is through the roof in Europe, can't keep in stock anywhere, since our price is less than half of Taom, folks can't get enough. I just hope Taom comes out with an even more expensive chalk, I might send them some Champagne ;)
