TAP League scorekeeping question

Tonight I stopped by and watched my dad and others play their first week of TAP league. A situation come up and the rule book wasn't specific, as I read it, to address the issue.

If a player shoots his ball in the called pocket but accidentally scratches on the shot does that ball count as a "Made ball" or is that scored as a "Dead ball"?
