Does anyone know if you can buy a taper bar for a Cueman lathe? I am looking for a shaft taper bar with a pro taper bar. Thank you

you can buy the attachment separately yes. the way those work is you have a flexible strip of delrin that your cross slide rides against and you can set it to whatever taper you want.

Contact Chris...he will give you a yes/no. It's not going to be cheap. I have Micro ll... I regret not adding one at build time. Also have a large bore MidAmerica...did not want or need it then but regret it now

If you add a taper bar, you will need a new cross slide with an extra deck that has a spring loaded deck to engage the bar with a built in bearing. You will also need risers for the head stock, tail stock, and all steady rests.
When I ordered the lathe If the bar wasn’t added when built it was very expensive to add later.

Yeah buying after I had a mid size i think cost me around the 900 area. When you buy the kit it comes with all those riser blocks and extra slide, everything needed to put on your lathe. Call Chris and he'll get you taken care of.

I have something in development - not sure of an eta but it is coming. I have a prototype in hand but want to make sure it is 100% before releasing it to customers.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Just can’t afford a separate lathe or CNC “yet”.

Doing the pro-taper by hand with an offset is very time consuming hard to get exact repeatability.
