Tascarella weight bolt size?

Anyone know what size weight bolts are fitted to Tascarella cues? Mine is a 2005 4 point cue. The existing bolt locates into a threaded brass insert in the butt, through the butt cap. It has an allen head that is tapped for the small bumper bolt.

I want a shorter replacement to give me the option of lightening the cue, but I don't want to cut down the existing bolt in case I prefer the original weight.

Okay, bolt seems to be 5/16x18 and made from stainless steel. It has a flat top countersunk socket head for a 3/16" wrench. It is tapped in the middle for the smaller bumper bolt. Anyone got any?

That's pretty standard. Even Loews of Home Depot may have it.

The two problems I have is that I am in the UK, where nothing is easy when it comes to pool hardware, and second, the bolt needs to be tapped to accept the bumper bolt, so standard bolt suppliers can't help.

I doubt that the bolt you seek is 5/16x18. More likely, 3/8x16.
If this is the case, it's pretty much a standard that is used throughout the industry, but of course, there are exceptions.
An over-the-counter bolt from the hardware store may or may not fit because of the head diameter and almost certainly will not have the threaded hole for the bumper screw.
Have you considered contacting Mr. Tascarella himself for a replacement bolt?

Have sent Mr. Tascarella an email. Hope he can help. I know it seems an odd size, but the bolt is 5/16x18.

IT IS 5/16 18 AND PETE IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET IT FROM. I'VE SEARCHED ALL THE FASTENER SUPPLIERS I COULD FIND, AND NO ONE HAS THEM.

IF I HAD EXTRAS, I'D SHARE, BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY. SORRY.

Chris and Marcus, thanks for your input, I appreciate it. Hope Pete comes through for me, I know he is a busy guy. My Tasc hits beautifully, very neutral, but it's a shade too heavy.
