My understanding of TK 6 is that it was a car borrowed for filming, those were just the plates it had.

in IL, it's VERY common to see initials + a number as a personalized plate.

Next pic is an old road player named "Geese" and me. Geese also won the Maryland State Championship in previous years.

Is this the same "Geese" that is mentioned in Playing off the Rail?

You're very observant, Ken. Yes, it is the same Geese. His real name was Michael Gerace. He passed away 2 years ago from cancer. He was living in Florida with his mom.

Geese was his happiest when he was on the road, playing pool. He had an infectious laugh. The only time you heard it was when he was winning. Geese couldn't stand losing. I mean, he took it harder than most.

Michael Gerace is one of Maryland's best players ever. His one-hole game was phenomenal. He could draw his rock the length of the table, without his cue ever touching a rail, and his one-handed game was strong as well. Like any good road player, Geese played all games.

I remember he was proud to come in third place in a Johnston City tournament when he was 19 years old. He would sometimes boast, "I'm third in the world." However, he didn't compete in tournaments very often. He was a true American road warrior and had no fear when it came to gambling. The higher the stakes, the better.

Several years ago, I ran into some players from out West, and much to my surprise, they all remembered Geese. Keith McCready said that when Geese came to California in the '70s, he took him around to show him the sights. One night, the two of them, shall I say, indulged in some good spirits, and even today, Keith said that it was one of the funniest nights of his life. He had never laughed so hard as when he was with Geese that night.

I miss Geese today. He was truly one of my oldest and dearest friends in the pool world.
