I just picked up this cue to add to my collection. It was made for a local player and was too heavy for him. So, I picked up this beuaty. Please see pictures below. Please note the construction!!!!! He cored the cue twice believe it or not. Well not the whole cue but the forearm!!!! Usually a stick is cored and then the points cut in and the forarm is done. But, in this case it was cored, then points cut then cored again!!! Alot of extra work and time. My pictures are not the best and I will re-shoot the pictures when I get some time because it is some really amazing figure in the cocobolo wood and same with the birdseye maple forearm. This is one of only two wrapless cues I have come accross from Ted Harris.
I called ted harris about an extra shaft and some work I will send his way. His computer is down so please Call him at (305) 677-3434. He was very concerned that some e-mails may go un-answered!!! He also acknowledge some personal problems behind his delays and assured me they were resolved.
Ted Harris Cues new policy regarding orders.
1. No deposit!
2. No due dates will call when cue is ready and provide a month or so to pay if not he will/can sell it locally.
He told me the blood bath his personal issues inflicted on his business was heart breaking and he has adopted these policies to eliminate any misunderstandings or future problems. So, if you want a really good cue and the above policies are fair and you do not want to wait on a list for six years or hope they are taking orders again then he welcomes your call. He is resolving some old issues and he has not forgotten about anyone! Plus, doing local cue repair for those in need.
I just thought you all would like to know about the policy changes at Ted Harris Cues. They should eliminate any concerns about placing an order according to Ted! The customer has nothing at risk just his or her good word to a great cue maker.
