Ten-ball rules

Fliedout

Could someone explain the differences from nine-ball rules? I gather no push-out in ten-ball, e.g.? Thanks.

The rules are *generally* exactly the same. I've never head of 10-ball without push-outs.

Some additional rules often enforced in some tournaments:
rack 2,3 in the corners
spot the 10 on the break if it goes in bottom corners
spot the 10 on the break if it goes in anywhere
called 10
break from the box

Rule clarification needed

I'm hoping someone can clarify a rule:

You must call your shots, but you must also shoot at the lowest ball on the table. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but just to be sure...I'm allowed to call combo shots on a ball other than the lowest provided I hit the lowest ball first, right? Like calling the 10 in the corner when the 3 is still out.

Just want to be sure....

yes.

pretty much the same rules as nine ball.

and ten ball isn't a call shot game you can luck in balls. however as of about a week ago the WPA went and produced a strange rule set for ten ball which dictates the opposite. But that isn't the norm.
