A while ago I posted a question in the ask an instructor section. CJ said he would send me a free video.
So many great things I've picked up from this DVD! All the common crap spewed out of so many peoples mouths like super loose grip, palm planted on table with bridge hand, etc has been throwing my game off these past couple years. I stopped by my usual hangout after work the day after I first watched the video. The first 5 games I really focused on my footwork, PSR, bridge, grip, etc. I lost all 5 to a guy who was really on top of his game playing far better than he usually does. The next two games I just focused on the ball and let my subconscious take over. I smoked him bad both games and then beat two other guys and then nobody would play me anymore. Today I stopped again and used sidespin to kick the cb straight into the rail to make a few balls and hit a couple as well as banking with opposite English. These were shots I probably would've gave up bih normally with a low percentage jump shot. After reading all the threads I could on TOI, I've been using it for 90 degree cuts into the side pocket. I just aim for the far tit and just use a touch of inside and have made every one. Used to be easy to give up bih by trying to hit too thin and not getting a hit or just hitting too thick and missing. I will definitely be investing in the rest of his DVDs as soon as I have more free time to practice! Thanks so much, Mr. Wiley! You are truly a valuable asset to the game as well as an all time great player and instructor!
