That day is coming very soon. I am one of the last links to the players of the golden age, they are all gone and the last one left us last year. Few remain who saw them play and know how great they were. In 10 or 20 years all of those who can say they say Hoppe, Greenleaf and Mosconi play will be gone and we then must rely on what is written in books.
I will never be gone, as you can see, all you have to do is ask and I respond to you.
I hope we do get the chance to play a game soon, that would be nice.
Thank you for your nice post, I have not been seeing too many of them lately. I get a lot of private emails of support which is why I hang in here.
The Hoppe story is located on the thread " best player ever? ( 1 2 3 4 5 ... Last Page )" go to page 6 to very bottom for intro, then the story is at the top of page 7. Warning, this is 10 pages, but if you do have time to read it, then you will know why I hold Hoppe in such hugh respect.
May God bless and peace be with you. May the wind be always on your back and all 9 balls fall. VENI VIDI VICI, OMNIA VINCIT AMOR. Latin for “I came, I saw, I conquered, love conquerors all.
