I asked about black dot shafts and got some good advice. I asked because I didn't know. I'm new to Az and too old to worry about what people think about my cue, but wanted to learn. Have one pricelees cue, a cuetec my deceased bro in law gave me to start out. The cues today are fantastic. Too bad I'm still pulling the trigger! I still want a pretty Carolina!
 
As long as you are happy with "your" cue, then who cares what other people think! ;)
 
I hate quoting this old adage but "it's the indian not the arrow...". I've been beaten badly by some guys who just grab the first house cue and play like Fast Eddie.

I agree, many times I have played with a very expensive cue and get beat with someone that grabs any house cue or plays with a $30 cue.
