Just wanted to thank you for sending me the free cleaner, that was a very nice gesture.

I havent yet decided if I like the slipstic as a wax, maybe Im just not using enough. But I can tell you I was impressed with your cleaner the first time I used it. I wll re-order for sure when this runs out.

Thanks again.

FYI, The conditioner is not a wax which is why it does not break down and collect with chalk and become gritty. I recently heard of the best way to apply the conditioner, I tried it and for some reason it works even better. Apply it with your fingers w/o the applicator and let it sit for about 15 min. then buff lightly. For some reason with your fingers it works even better.

Also the conditioner is formulated for wooden shafts w/o the lacquer on the shaft. The lacquer is not good for playing with in general. I have heard of people using the conditioner on non wooden shafts, but does not last as long.

Thanks for the complement on the cleaner. If you happen to use a harsh chemical or one of the bleach srubs (not recommended) it completely removes their residue so you will not ruin your cue shaft. Try to stay away from those items and your cue shaft will stay in great shape.

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought the applicator may have been taking some of the conditioner off while I was trying to apply it, which could explain why you feel you got a better result using your finger to apply it. I will try that.

And its funny you mention using the cleaner to remove residue from a harsher cleaner. I had some deep chalk on one shaft and had to use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get it as clean as I wanted. I used your product right afterwards and was much happier with the outcome than when I had just used the Magic Eraser by itself. I dont like to use some of those products but if ya let the shaft get dirty enough you really dont have a choice LOL.

I wont be getting in that trouble again as I plan to use your cleaner to keep it the way it is now.

I knew Slipstic wasnt a wax, just didnt know the best term to use for it :)

Thanks again Pete.

Pete,
Speaking of the cleaner I also thank you. It works good, but I'm not as impressed with it as I am with slipstic.
When I used it I immediately noticed it's odor and some other characteristics. It reminded me of acetone which we used to clean fiberglass sailboat hulls back when I worked for Cape Dory. Is acetone a prime ingredient in it?

Base of the formula is super distilled heptanes which is very clean and allows it to evaporate quickly so the cleaner breaks down fast and does not penetrate into the shaft.

Slipstic is a great product. I've been using it a little over a month, and haven't applied it more than once the first day I got it. It's still just as slick as the first day I applied it.

BTW Pete, I haven't received either of the cleaners you sent me. I hope I get them some time soon. Damn those people at the USPS.

Yeah, because the cleaner has to be shipped as ORM-D, it takes longer to reach its destination.

Thanks,

pete

I ordered both the cleaner and the slipstik, both worked great. I bought a used falcon for $100.00 with two shafts, the original falcon shaft and a 314. Both shafts were blue from chalk, the cleaner took all the blue off the shafts and ferrules. The slipstik put a good smooth finish on them.

Great Product Pete...

Hey Pete,

Just wanted to jump in here...your purchase and free offers have been the best...my first order was behind, you sent me a letter and sample, then came the conditioner, then the free cleaner...last was the 2 for 1, you even followed up with a phone call to make sure I received my order and were satisfied. Well needless to say, I'm very satisfied not only with the product but with your customer service. I hope it's not long before we see Slip-Stic on an ad/sponsor banner at events.

All Success~

Where is the Product sold by Retailers, Mueller doesn't have it. Who does? ;) Talking about MAIL ORDER Houses

Retailers in PHX AZ seem to have never hear of the product....?

Does using powder worsen the effectiveness of slipstic?

You should no longer need powder. A good friend of mine has a slip stroke and runs 100's in 14.1. An excellent player, use to go back and forth even up with Mike Sigel. He always used powder and would never put anything on his cue, period. He refused to because I think he was afraid to do anything to ruin his game.

One night he tried it for the hell of it. He loved it and no longer needs to use powder.

A note on the cleaner( just thought I'ld jam this in here even though it does not relate to this post);

Also, the smell from the cleaner is an added scent. For anyone that is not aware, many commercial products sold have added scents to them for one of three reasons; 1. Some cleaners do not have a scent and people will think that they will not work because of it. 2. Those products that you should not drink will have a common repelling scent 3. Some formulations stink (like sulfur for instance) and every time a cap is removed people will think someone released gas.
