Thanks to Nineball, GolfParent, and (indirectly) Jays Cue

It was like Christmas in August today in Thailand- I got the three cues I bought from the AZ For Sale section.:D

I got a gorgeous Mike Stacey from Nineball- it was exactly how he described it, and looks fantastic. I had never held a custom cue before- it just feels "different"- the skilled work that went into it is so obvious. I can't wait to try it out (though that won't happen until my house is finished and my table arrives, and every day that gets delayed and delayed and delayed...)- in the meantime I can enjoy looking at it (as well as the set of matching joint protectors he threw in).:)

I got a Schon STL-1 from Golfparent- he said the cue was better than 90%- I would say the thing is about 98%- it looks and feels like new, and I feel like I got a great deal.:)

I got a McDermott Phoenix cue from Jays Cue, but not directly- he put up a thread re: his Ebay auction on AZ, but since international bids weren't accepted my brother in New York bid on and won it for me- Jays Cue said it was like brand new, and if the tip hadn't been chalked I would have thought it was- the cue is perfect.:)

I should mention that all three of these guys shipped immediately and packed the cues really well (it took me quite a while to get 'em all opened up, and the dogs really enjoyed the bubble wrap- normally I wouldn't let them play with stuff like that but it was better than having them chew on the cues:)).

Thanks to all three of these great AZers- I haven't been on the forum long, but there are obviously a great bunch of people here, and I'm the better for having joined (I'm also poorer, but you can't have everything;) ).

Brian,

It was a pleasure dealing with you. One of the smoothest transactions I have had. I hope we can do business again in the future. Enjoy your new cue/cues.. :D

Thanks,
Josh Hillard
