The best one-piece cues?

well, what is quality to you. Are you simply talking about a cue that plays really well, as good as any custom cue? Or are you talking about who made the cue.... the name associated with it.

I've seen numerous guys take a house cue from a pool hall, have the shaft taper worked on, had the ferrul and tip worked on/changed, and had the cue refinished and let me tell you... I couldn't tell the difference between those and some of the more high-end customs I have. Those house cues played lights out.

They were various makes like dufferin or what not and were purchased from any billiards warehouse. You can make a decent piece of wood/cue into a monster if you take the time and effort.

Cues

I believe he is talking about production 1 piece cues. Dufferin makes some good ones, but they are a little butt heavy. Valley has some that are pretty decent, I think they are called 'Valley Premiums'.

Dufferin house cues with a good tip are the best. Espeically the ones with a pro taper!!!
