I knew a guy just like that, he died of a heart attack and his wife would not let any one pick up any of their stuff.
Here is what I learned about repair people or cue builders, never pay in advance, that only insures you go to the bottom of the list, only pay upon receipt of the product, that gives them an incentive to put you to the top of the list. If they give you that routine, if you don't pay in advance, you go to the bottom of the list, shop around more. Don't accept this con. That is BS, excuse my francee. A small good faith deposit should be adequate to begin work. Pay for the entire cue in advance, obsurd. Been there, done that.
