I am not a regular visitor to the site and have just joined recently. I have seen a few erronious dates for release of the book so I thought I would clear things up. Please excuse me for not posting earlier, but we are working night and day to get the third edition Billiard Encyclopedia ready for December of this year.
It's been ten years since the second edition, thirteen since the first, and almost 20 years since we started writing the book, so we decided to update things with a third edition. Much has happened in the cue world since 1994 so we decided to focus on cues, cue makers, and especially cue collectors. The entire Current Cue Makers section is new with over one hundred new pages and dozens of pictures devoted to cues. In addition we have photographed the ten greatest cue collections in the world. It is safe to say they feature the best of what has been produced these last twenty years.
In addition there are dozens of updated images through out the book on all subjects, as well as new material on antique billiard tables, billiard collectables, and billiard memorabilia of every discription.
The price of the new edition will be $150.00. We will start taking orders in September. As usual there will also be a limited collectors edition of (100) leather bound books priced at $750.00 and we are already taking deposits on these.
