What an incredible start to the season for Higgins. Great cue ball positioning. He seemed a bit discouraged after losing the Crucible final a couple years back so a a plus to see him looking fitter and in good spirits.

Not to distract from the accomplishment but total 147s can be a bit overstated as a measurement of ‘the best’. Certain players like Mark Williams and Selby play middle table more…go for the ‘Blue’. O’Sullivan plays down table more for the ‘Black’. It’s not one or the other but slight differences in strategy.

Big match tomorrow ( today in Britain)…Selby vs Murphy. Anyone’s win in a short 5 game match. However, Selby best at controlling the nerves.
