I will sart the thread but it is up to you to keep up th good work.;):D:thumbup:

Yeah Much Appreciated !

I hope it happens but can a Canadian friend post the results on a thread on here.Or will we have to hijack it ?

I would like to know all the Pool results also.

Cmon the wee adopted bairn ye Alex'The Lion'Pagualan.

Or the Pag-Man as I call him.

A dude in Scotland will be cheering you on.;):D:thumbup:

We Need A Canadian In Charge Of This Thread!

What is going to be happenning ?

Will you split Snooker from Pool results?

Just bring the threads together, maybe thats an idea.

You can't post it all on the one thread.I'm talking Canadian Snooker and Pool together?

Alex'Pag-Man'Pagulayan will clear up anyway, what am I talking about.

So Canada what do you think?People around the world will want to know the Snooker and Pool from Canada this time.I hope it is all on stream, bit wonky last year, but you know who I will be cheering on,Cmon Alex!

AZBilliards Legal team working on it then ?

Canadian Snooker, Pool results news on Snooker or Pool ?

AzBilliards will sort it out.

Is there no such thing as The Sporting Life in USA/Canada ?

If not let me know man !

If I recall correctly last year they admitted not putting enough time and money to set up the streams and they said they'd try to do a better job this year. Let's see how it goes...

For snooker news in Canada there is snookerline.com but that is obviously not as thorough as the Sporting Life. For this year championship I guess the CBSA is probably the best source again (including links for the stream).

Wow

Man that was spooky. As I looked in the stats were 6 replies 66 views and of course I'm Church66.;):D:thumbup:

Cheers !

I had great fun last year at the Canadian Championships. It was unique to me, a brilliant idea to host the Snooker and all the Pool formats under the one umbrella.I mean Barry Hearn hasn't done that one yet over here !

For Alex 'The Lion' Pagulayan to arrive without a Snooker cue but enter, then it was like Alex went to the local shop bought a Snooker cue and said,"Who am I playing?".Aye he is gallus is Alex 'The Lion' Pagulayan. He just went on to win the dang thing.;)The chatroom was great and I heard an expat Scot in the commentary, that was a laugh. So all being well we will meet up soon.;):D:thumbup:

So what's the official status of Pagulayan for next year? I read somewhere he'd be a wildcard for the World Snooker tour next year. Is he the wild card for North America? Or Asia? How does that work? Is he really going to enter some tournaments?

Thanks for posting this thread. Poor little PEI has no representation on the CBSA site. It's sad to me the way the game has faded away completely here to the point where there's not enough tables in the whole province to have a real tournament even if you could gather them together.

The one table I know of where I live is in miserable condition. I don't think anyone here even knows how to maintain one properly. I've never seen such a slow table with such lousy cushions.

It's times like this I could almost think about moving back to Ontario, but then I remember why I left and I don't feel so bad. I guess I will just look for the streams.

Hearn is missing a bet. Alex was the only reason I went to Shooters. Got there early and got a good seat, if a bar stool can be called a good seat.

The way Alex interacted with the audience between frames and between his snooker, 8-ball, 9-ball, and 10-ball matches would liven up the matches in the UK. Think of Alex as the antidote for Ebdon.:D

Are you going again this year? There is a slight chance I'll be around too. I may have to travel to Ottawa for work around those dates and if so I might drive down the 401 to see what the Shooters look like.

It is hard to get updates to sites as we only have really one guy running all events.

The stream last year was last minute by CBSA because the person doing the stream got drunk (or something) and took their stream equipment. I hope we get a reliable stream for everyone to watch.

I will try and provide any links and updates that I can during the Canadians this year.

I might, for a day or two, if Alex shows. There are other things I like doing in the summer. :D I don't like to drive if I'm going to be drinking, and transit from my place is a major, slow, pain.

Shooters is just a big pool hall, in a mall, owned by John White, a former Canadian snooker champion. Alex beat him in the semis last year. It has a limited number of good seats for viewing. In the early rounds they have 4 snooker tables in action.

There is a posting in the Canadian pool section that the Canadian Championships will be streamed starting June 2

Senior Snooker: Thurs, June 7th to Sat, June 9th
Open Snooker: Sun, June 10th to Sat, June 16th

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/cpa-southern-ontario-pool-leagues

Expect Alex Pagulayan to be around defending his title.

Our main man Rod Babin will be live streaming the event. He probably will be going back and forth between events for the most part. I am sure if you are in the chat and an 8,9,10 ball match has finished he may be able to pan over to watch some snooker.
