yeah thats right the hotel resturant upset me this year!
allow me to explain. i went into the resturant this year with higher expectations than the last. this year i saved up my money and thought hey im eating from the regular menu this year instead of the buffet right?
wrong i was informed that there was no regular menu for the week of the pool people. and the menu was laminated and labeled derby city menu or something like that a snack menu with burgers and sammages and a few pasta dishes. whats next going to be maybe a chow hall like the military with sammages already made up and ready to go meals or tv dinners. man how good would the derby be if they had a steak and crab legs buffet like the casino. i mean i know the hotel is not used to seeing this kind of business.
but if im the hotel manager i would realize that hey a thousand pool players are here for 9 days in a row with everybody having saved all their money all year for this event, get a damn nice buffet including steak, crab legs, sushi,
fine soups and desserts and charge 25 or 30 bucks but make it good and people would be so happy and pay it bottom line!! the chinese resturants and casinos can do it they can!
