John just broke the first of a possible 35 frames to decide who will be Champion of the World for 2007. Sweet!
John also got the first chance, he's at 28 now after a great cut red.

Higgins won a scrappy first frame, they're just showing potting percentages, Higgins is at 91% for the tournament, Selby at 90%.

The also scrappy second frame is still up for grabs, the score is 32-38 for Higgins with only the colors remaining, safety play at the moment.
John took the second frame aswell, 2-0 now.

The second session just started, the score is 5-3 to Higgins. Both players started playing well at the end of the first session.
John is making short work of the first frame, got out of line once, but got back in prime position, looks like 6-3.
Higgins is looking like he's in top form again. Selby will have to produce the goods this session it is 6-3
A terrible break from Mark left John a sitter into the center. He's at 22 now.

Yep, Higgins is breathing fire again, he's at 62 now 7-3 looks a formality.
Higgins proves his mortality and misses a sitter, unfortunately Selby misses too. still 6-3 score in the frame 70-0

i'm on it too, one question if Selby ever gets a shot tonight will he blow ovewr in the wind, how he does that is just amazing to me, he has huge heart, after the blue miss last night at 14-13? I though he was done, i was wrong, I really like him, I saw his interview, nice guy.

i like higgins to win 17-9

BTW: the presenter Joe is head and shoulders above the rest of them.

Hi fatboy,

Do you mean Joe Johnson? I haven't heard him commentate. I'm watching the BBC feed with currently Willie Thorne and Dennis Taylor commentating, my favorites of the BBC team.

Let's find out if Selby can produce!
Selby finally got a decent chance, but had the mother of all kicks and left himself without a shot. Higgins at the table 22 points down, still leading 7-3
Higgins makes a frame winning break of 65 and counting: 8-3

yes joe jonson,

ive notice since the ywent to the one table there have been more kicks than before, whoever pulled the cloth ddnt do such a great job, they recovered the tables hald way the tournment because of kicks and they had it sorted, but whe n the y went to one table, it isnt playing that well. I have seen so many kicks Selbry just had a terrible one on a red up near bulk, it was the end of break for him. and it wasnt his fault the cue ball jumped almost 1cm, terrible it will cost hin the frame

The kicks are always food for discussion, chalk seems to be the major cause, but indeed the cloth also comes into play. I wish I had the cure, I also hate when things like that (sudden burst of applause on the other table is another example) change the outcome of a game. I'm not sure it cost him the frame, but it certainly cost him a decent chance of one. It's getting ominous now for Mark, John looks to go 9-3 ahead.
An absolute peach of a shot on the pink brings John the frame, 9-3 it is.

Selby finally took a frame back, but John strikes back in the next one, a break of 58 a good safety and onther break of 8 and counting brings him to 10-4. If Selby doesn't take the next two frames it will be all but over.
You can only come back so many times.

Higgins just keeps pounding away, another century to take the last frame, the overnight score is 12-4 this seems all but over.

That was an awesome display of stranglehold snooker from John. Keeping his opponent in his chair frame after frame with only the odd shot off the baulk cushion to keep him awake. I feel sorry for Mark, but tomorrow's another day. All he has to do is win 12-4 and he's right back in it. And it can be done. Higgins just has.

I'll bet you any amount you like at any odds you like that Higgins does NOT win 17-9.

[hint: best of 35.]

There will be no replay probably, if you missed it that's that. It's first to 18 btw, that's why you were offered the bet.

17 or 18 LOL I cant do math or spell. ;) let look at it like this...., the loser will only get 9 frames, and it is on Eurosport replay right now, i got lucky.

thanks for the correction.

enjoy tonight, i'll come to the fourm here while its on,,

cheers

Lucky you with the replay. It is an awesome display by Higgins, he could have been playing anyone in the world and still led the match. Can't take anything away from Selby, great performance to reach the final. I have to work til 6, so it might be over by the time I get home.

well my prediction isnt going to happen , Selby just won the first 4 frames he will derinatly go over 9, oh well. it was just a guess.
