Hey KTown,

I hope these events are successful for Shannon. He is a good guy and runs a great tournament. I'm gonna play in at least a couple of these. And $60 isn't so bad for $2000 added tournament. I played a $20 entry fee tournament a few weeks ago, but by the time I put the quarters in the table, I had close to $60 invested.

Knowing Shannon, I'm sure that gambling will be available, so there should be some action (and side-betting action). With Charlie's tournament on Memorial Day weekend, and Diamond's tournament the first weekend in June, It looks like June will be a great month for pool around the Southeast.

I told Shannon I would post this here to help him out. Every time I have known Shannon to run a tournament he has always had a first rate field. He usually calls some well known players and they come to play. I am sure there will be some action. I hope you get to come to Knoxville but if not I'm sure I'll run into you at one of these events. GL and hit em good.

Why don't you come to Knoxville June 10th and 11th for the tournament at Breakers. I talked to Shannon today and we are planning a small best ball tournament for Monday the 12th. I will try to get in touch with him tomorrow and check on the Greeneville deal for you.

hey ktown d - is breakers still gonna hold the big orange 9 ball also??????
I'm not positive. That tournament is usually around Halloween. If you come up for the tournament next weekend look around for me (Daniel), most everyone there will know me. I'll talk to Bob and Shannon to see when they might be planning it. I talked to Shannon and he is hoping to have a mini tournament on Fri. night. There is usually enough people there on Fridays to pull this off. It will probably be $25 entry + auction.

Are you planning on coming? If so drop me a PM with your name.

does anyone know if the field is being limited

I can only speculate that if you come you will have a spot. There has been no mention of field limit.

The Great Souther 8-Ball Tour is now sanctioned with the Viking Tour.

All players that participate in any of the Great Southern 8-Ball Tour events will be eligible to play in the Viking Tours $25,000 National Championship.

Thanks,

Mj

I can only tell you that the event in Knoxville is on 8 ft tables and Diamonds in Chattanooga has diamond 7 ft tables. The poolroom in Atl and Palace Billiards in Greeneville have 9 ft tables. Hope this helps.

The Pool Room Sports Bar & Grille is anticipating a huge turn-out for the event; thus, we will be OPEN 24 HOURS during the event.

Hey Stick,

I'll see you there. I hope the tour turns out well for Shannon. I guess we will know more after this weekend in Knoxville....Say, have you seen my buddy Jim Jennings lately? I usually see him around, and always at the Smokey mountain, but I haven't seen him since the big Viking Shootout in Atlanta last year. If you see him, tell him I send my regards.

See you in Greenville,
Mike
