The GSBT and Diamond Billiard Club are hosting the Choo-Choo Classic Tennessee Amateur 9-ball tournament in Chattanooga, TN this weekend.
The 68 player field brought out top guns from around several surrounding states including SC, NC, KY, TN, GA, AL, & FL.

Day 2 of the Choo-Choo Classic is under way here at Diamond Billiard Club in Chattanooga, TN. After a long day of pool we ended in the wee hours this morning with a "Midnight Madness" ring game. It was an 11 player / $200 a man 10-ball ring game. After all of the smoke cleared, the final 3 standing were Bobby McGrath, Jared McGee, and Russ Edwards. Soon after the bet was doubled to 16 chips a playe,r McGrath was ousted with a third place finish. Again, the ring game came down to the final 2 players just as it had before at the previous tournament. But this time the outcome would be different. Jared was the chip leader with 70 chips to Russ's 40 but in the end after trading a few games back and forth, Russ ended up on top in this battle. Russ pocketed $1900, Jared $500, and Bobby $200 for their efforts. Congratulations to all of these players and the other players for their participation. It gave the crowd something exciting to sweat.

Moving on ... one-loss side matches started up at noon continuing at 1pm with the winners side starting at 2pm.
