And if he did reach it, his stay there was too short lived to really see just where he measured up against the other greats of the time. I think we only saw small glimpses of where he was at the time, or where he would have been had he kept playing. Well, that L.A. all-around tournament might have been more than a "small" glimpse, but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.
