Being young isn't everything....
This thread is interesting, but I don't think you HAVE to be YOUNG to chase your dreams.
I am a 40 y/o female, works full time, owns a home & a car, no kids, no husband (and no, i'm not ugly either..hehehe). I love my independent lifestyle and I LOVE pool. I've completed my first year playing semi-pro and I'll admit, it's NOT easy by any means.
But even though I didn't decide to follow a dream early, certainly doesn't mean it's lost because I'm not YOUNG anymore.
Being young does give you an advantage with having less responsibility, but in the pool world, you must become seasoned through losing and like everything, it takes time and patience, something youngsters don't have much of until they grow up some.
