Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan has spent the last few weeks in Hawaii and has played regularly at Hawaiian Brian's. His last matches were straight pool. For practice, he played one of the owners a game of straight pool to 100 points for $50. Alex had to run out to 100 or his score didn't count and he went back to zero. "Aki", a good short-stop, got to 52 points and missed. Alex ran 100 and out. A straight-shooting kid offered to play him the same game if he could go to 50 and Alex had to go to 100 without missing or "no count" and Alex went back to zero. Alex broke the balls, the kid made 1 ball and missed, and Alex ran 100 and out again. Unbelievable!
"The Lion" just finished an exhibition match at Hawaiian Brian's with "Rocket" Rodney Morris in a race to 21. Check out the results at hawaiianbrians.com

Both plan to play in the UPA Tour Championship Tournament held at The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California, January 6th thru 11th.
