Hello all, as some of you may remember me my name is Kay and my husband Tim and I use to own and run the KBP amateur billiard tour in Florida. This article is not about me its about the Lost of a Pool Player. The reason I am posting this is that I just found out that one of the players that use to play on the tour has passed. His name is Eric David and even though I have not seen him since 2008 or 2009 he was part of the KBP tour family. Eric was a really nice guy and had played on the tour for a good 10 years. He was friendly and took life a little easy. If he did good with a game then it was great and if he didn't do that good it was still ok. Eric was 51 and died of cancer. He will be missed by his family whom he loved and he will be missed by the billard world. He was a regular guy who enjoyed playing pool and loved to get to know people, but his attitude and love of playing the sport made him stand out just as much as any pro.
The tour was shut down in 2009 and even though I do not travel and get to see the amateur or pro players any more I still feel the lost. All of the players are and always will be my extended family. I miss each and everyone but not seeing people is one thing but knowing that you won't be able to see that person again is another. Remember the people you meet and get to know. Once you meet them and get to know them they are a part of you and your life. Eric touched our family by being himself. We will miss him.
