The marvels of the Ignore List

If you want to spend time deciphering his drivel in the hopes that something of value that hasn't been said 10,000 times before can be found, be my guest and I will never deprive you of that opportunity and pleasure but I for one feel I have better ways to spend my time and choose to not be aggravated and annoyed reading his barbs and digs about things that personally effect others such as national tragedies and wars.

What if what he says holds real value? Wouldn't it then be better to use it for personal gain vs. continued pretending that leads nowhere? What if what you hold as true is really false? Wouldn't you like to know? I would.

I'm getting value from Dhalaka on almost everyone of his posts. Course, one of my main processes is to first dismiss dishonesties and then integrate what's left into real valuable concepts. Then I do the same for those concepts and then it gets real interesting.

The more a poster challenges my thinking, the better. That's why I'm here.

Well put.....I can slso understand how some don't want to deal with it:)

As Blackjack has said, it's important to know who to avoid in a pool hall....

Yes, that is true. There are many accidents looking for a place to happen in a Pool room.

On another thread he's now letting Mr. Wilson have it... "Da da da dummm..."

But it at least gives us a break! :)

That's true. But I've not really had to deal with HIM since I put him on my Ignore List :D I know he was trying to get me to post a response to more of his abusive drivel... just wasn't going to give him that satisfaction. The Ignore Button: What a marvelous feature of this board.

For me, I just exercise my ability to just not click on a post when it gets really infantile! :D But if that is too hard to do I guess not being able to see it works also!

I do the same for just about everybody else whose posts I don't want to read, although there are very few people in that category.

In his case, dissing him was satisfying, and denying him whatever satisfaction he may have derived from his insulting, abusive posts was another motivating factor.

The Ignore List is not absolutely final; a poster's name may be removed at will. Glad I never felt the urge to go that route. :D

Good info I thought once you placed someone on it .....

it was final you no longer saw them or their post and replys. I have for that reason never used it. :)

Actually, I did see the ones where other posters copied what he wrote and responded to him, something like reading a police report of what someone said, without having to bear the direct brunt of it...

Having been on the receiving end of his ridicule and insults, I wanted no more of him, hence the Ignore Button was put to good use.

Thanks Flex.

Even with him on my Ignore list, I've wasted way too much time reading threads that he is associated with.

You're most welcome, PSA.

This has been a learning experience for me.

Even when he wasn't associated with a particular thead, his posts popped up frequently. Ignoring him became that much easier.
