The Monk Is Coming To Milwaukee

This weekend, for only $300 per person, you can train with one of the living legends of pool, The Monk. It is a 2 day event at Romines High Pockets in Milwaukee. I'd suggest calling (414-281-2212) to make sure there are still spots available, but as of last night I know there were a few.

I'd be going but the wife has planned a pretty big weekend for me and won't tell me what it is (it better involve pool at some point). I also am a little strapped for $300 right now, if he had come in another week I'd be there for sure!! If you DO attend it, make sure to post your stories about "The Monk" on here on Monday!

I assure you, the youtube link was completely unnecessary. Although it does give me the chance to use some of my Adriane Monk knowledge to point out that the character who PLAYS Monk is Tony Shalhoub. Tony Shalhoub was born and raised in Green Bay before moving on to Yale.

I know a little bit about the guy, Green Bay isn't far from Milwaukee so whenever I get a star from either city, I take the time to do a little research. But don't worry, I'm not talking about the defective detective. We'd never start playing because he'd spend too much time cleaning the pool table, cleaning the balls, and trying to get the chalk JUST RIGHT on his perfectly shaped moori tip.
