Well, wonder of wonders? After 5 days of boring play it's Allison and Karen again. The best surprise the consistent play of Chris Szuter, Tony Crosby and Tiffany Nelson.

The worst suprise the poor play of Kelly Fsher who should have been concentrating on her tournament 9-Ball instead of selling pool cues and gambling. 0 for 2 barbcue is how she played and what she received, 15 big
ranking points. You will please note I spoke to soon about a Kelly Fisher era.

The biggest waste of entertinment funds this year so far! The BCA Pro Championsips.

I believe the WPBA specifically prohibits gambling by their players at a tournament site.

Oh yes! Dispicable! I guess you're glad that you lack the talent to play in it, thus didn't spend the money to go. Imagine your disappointment if you were actually there!

Oh, and WTF do you want from Kelly? Is she supposed to win it all the time? Geez, she isn't even pro yet and won the SD tourney!!!!

Oh and didn't you say in another thread that one of the girls you were rooting for was Allison??

Yep, sure did:

Good luck to Allison Fsher, Kim Shaw, Sarah Ellerby, Kelly Fisher and Valerie Finnie for the pro women.

Hmmm, what changed???

Thanks for clearing things up, Willz. I've really enjoyed the matches and found them very exciting. Obviously, I'm mistaken on ths occasion.

Yep, L/S, but he was pulling for Allison Fsher, not Allison Fisher.

SJM,

Glad you enjoyed the matches. Yes, to soon for a Kelly Fisher era. ;)

Thanks, Willz, and I wouldn't worry too much about Kelly Fisher. She's already shown what a champion she is, and has one very bright future. Was surprised you didn't mention the play of Jans. I thought she made a very nice showing and I especially enjoyed her matches, the one against Kajitani in particular. I thought Jans and, of course, Laurance, wrote some great stories out over the green felt this week.

SJM,

Thanks, I have no loss of faith in Kelly, who is a dear Christian soul who won a World Snooker Championshp with a shoulder on her stroke arm so sore
that four hours before the match Steve Davis told her he was going to move his bet to the other women. The doctor at hospital only gave her Advill for the
pain.

Eva what can I say Eva is Eva :) The first time I met her I felt a finger nail in the center of my back in the picture of the lady player I was rooting for. When I turned around and introduced myself she asked me with a big smile where her fan T-Shirt was?

Fineally Wendy "Wounderful Wendy" Jans. SJM am I right or wrong? The Belgiun Grace Kelly. She is a doll and can play pool too. Adds another beautiful lady to the WPBA. I know you like that! :D

I admit that I do find it boring at times when it's constantly Allison vs. Karen, but at least it's nice to see Ewa making some waves in a tournament again. She seemed to be fading, but really came on strong this week with some great wins. Has her match vs. Karen happened yet (if not, does anyone know when it will be played)?

Willz, I've posted about Wendy's pool game. I don't know what Grace Kelly looks like. Wendy, like most of the ladies of women's pro pool, is attractive, but it was her play that caught my eye. She's talented, aggressive and confident over the green felt. A couple of the pros I chatted with spoke highly of Wendy's efforts at Amway, too. She's good for women's pro pool.

In response to the comment about Kelly Fisher I want to clarify something. Kelly had free reign to focus on the tournament. She and many others were having a lot of trouble with the tables - the Connelly tables. She was also denied adequate practice time on the tables as the practice tables were always full and the atmosphere was very testosterone laden with the men barking at each other.

But, Kelly Fisher makes no excuses. The only thing she has said, and I agree with her, is that by coming in a week early to help us get the Fury Experience set up her normal tournament rhythm was disrupted. Kelly realizes the signifigance of this performance and vows that it will not happen again. I will publicly bet this board right here and now that a healthy Kelly Fisher will NEVER go two and out in any professional event ever again no matter what tables are played on, no matter what the schedule.

She was beaten by Allison, Karen, Monica, Gerda and Vivian. She learned her lessons from each of them and came back to beat them in successive tournaments. Kelly has taken her lesson from this tournament and will be back in form on the next one.

Now, for the DL on the match with Mr. Derek Leonard;

We had an appointment to play at 2:00pm. Kelly was there and ready to play at 2:00pm as was Derek and a handful of sweators on his side. Who was missing was his backer, Mr. Scotty Poser from Gastonia, North Carolina. Mr. Poser had opened his mouth the night before and said he would put Derek in the box for ANY amount of money. When I told him we wanted to bet 5 large his nuts shriveled into raisins. We had the money up, we were ready to play and we waited for oer three hours for Scotty Poser to show up.

So, at 5:30 we agreed to play for only 1200. By this time Kelly had basically sat there for three hours waiting. Derek got his break going, got a lot of good rolls and basically played almost perfect pool. And perfect pool is what it takes to beat Kelly. Derek has got a game any time he wants one and he knows it.

If the person who made the comment would like to post some money and come and play Kelly himself then please feel free to do so. I notice you were quiet when Kelly beat Jeff Abernathy.

Kelly does not want to be known as a money player. She is the consumate professional who enjoys a good match. She is not a hustler and does not appreciate hustler tactics. When a game is arranged then she shows up on time and plays. This is why Scotty Poser wouldn't post any show-up money. There will be no more money matches that I am involved in without the money posted up front. I won't have Kelly bothered by typical pool player bullshit.

To his credit, Derek was perfectly polite and was the victim of his poser backer. Had things went off as planned then he might have won or lost more. As it did happen, we are only out 200 since we were up a 1000 from beating Jeff. So we paid 200 for a breaking lesson. A drop in the bucket.

Anyway, that's all there is to that. Any of you who happen to be at the VNEA this coming week are invited to test yourselves against Kelly at the FURY EXPERIENCE in SkyBox 205.

Thanks for the info on the money game, but the question remains about WPBA players being banned from gambling. (On Pool, presumably playing the slots is OK) . Is the BCA not a WPBA Tour event, only a sanctioned event? Or is this a special "only in Vegas" exception?

WPBA players are not allowed to gamble on pool matches during the week of the event they are playing in anywhere in the state of the event. Kelly did NOT gamble on pool anywhere in Nevada during the week of the event.

Funny story I heard about Rachel Abbink. She was told at a tournament that she wasn't allowed to gamble and she asked what the fine was. After being told that it could be as high as 5000 Rachel replied, "so does that mean I have to bet 20,000?"
