The Tricks of the Trade like using the coke bottle to help straighten out your stroke, or using a stripe ball for learning english has anyone made their own stroke trainer. I Think it was Mick again that made his own stroke trainer by using 10 gauge wire, this really helps you to see if you twist the cue to the left or right on your stroke. Here is a picture of what and how he made it. It has all the specs. Check it Out.

Note: Thanks Mick for this thing it is very kewl and really helped my stroke out when i was first learning the game.......

I remember about 5 or 6 years ago I was talking with Billy the Kid at a tournament we were both playing in and he told me a story. When he was a teenager he took a hollowed out cube of chalk home and used to practice stroking the tip through it for hours at a time. I remember thinking how freaking bored I would be. I guess when you have that drive to do something you do whatever it takes.
This cube of chalk was simple but effective, if you've ever seen Billy play you know what I mean.
