I often use my pool game as an indicator of how my life is going. Often times when my life was a mess, so wasn't my game.

I feel many of us don't get the connection and fail to take it into consideration as to why we may have succeeded or failed.

Just something to consider the next time you go out the door to play.

i have thought that same thing myself. a few years ago my life changed drastically and so did my game.

in the last year my personal life has improved somewhat and so has my game. there are days when i am able to put personal problems aside and shoot like i used to and there are days when i miss shots that i could easily make with my opposite hand years ago.

there is truth to the old saying that pool is 90% mental.

What you say is true. I'm playing pool less, but gardening more. Yet, my pool game is as good as its ever been. Doing other things adds perspective.

I also used to take a nap before I went out to play. Luckily for me, I had a job that I could get home early enough, on days, I played at night in tournaments. The days I was able to nod off, I was almost, unbeatable.

It's the little things that mean a lot.
