Watching some of the Bigfoot event, I see Shaw, Skyler and Justin all wearing colourful shirts with their names on them.

Anyone know the story on these shirts?

Not that I can see. And Morra wasn't wearing one (I think) and I didn't think Sky and Justin were on "Team Frenchie". Ko wasn't wearing one either.

I haven't seen what they are wearing but they could be the mosconi cup team shirts. Cause if I remember correctly shaw was in the stands supporting the European team. Just guessing tho.

I'm pretty sure the brand or company is UTG (not sure who or what that is ) but I saw at least Bergman skyler shaw frost and olinger wearing them

I checked out the website and they are cool. I'm guessing the pros wearing are doing so since they are probably free to them... As $80 a shirt seems a bit steep to me.

I believe the idea comes from the 1940s when pro bowlers began to wear shirts with their names on the back for the new medium of television.

I remember the thrill of ordering such a shirt for myself in 1960, when I was competing in California at age 17!

Wish I still had that shirt and all my old bowling shirts that were discarded when I retired from the lanes in '74...the same for my pool shirts provided by team sponsors beginning in 1968. All I have left is a team jacket (Grumpy's Bar) from 1974 and a team shirt from the Red Sails Resort, circa 1985.
