The Players Tournament- 1 Mil 1st place!

It looks interesting, but the entry fee is huge and the million dollar payout is based on a huge number of players.

Not sure why someone would even bother to put forth the effort to put this on , my guess is that no one will enter.

Just My Opinion

They should reduce the entry and payout by a factor of ten and make it a 100,000 first. Who is going to pay 10K of which 10-20 % is a green fee? You might actually get people to play if you made it reasonable without the ridiculous 1.1 Million green fee fund. Whoever came up with this idea would be better off running a pyramid scheme or starting a 1-900 number (is the Jamaican lady out of jail? Call me now...! Only 7.99 a minute!)

Of course, no sane person would put up 10G to enter a tournament. But how many pro players have never played for that kind of money on a given night? And if you break even by winning two matches?

I would think plenty of players and backers would buck the odds for the payday you could hit just for winning 3 or 4 matches. That is, if they could be convinced the money's not going straight to the (name your nationality) mob.

This is a very interesting tournament. I most likely will attend if they get people to play in it. Does anyone know if players have signed up to play yet, and who is the contact person? Where are they advertising this at? I have heard of this event, but have seen no ad's for it as of yet.
