Mary Avina pro?

I was unaware that Mary Avina was a pro

She gets pro treatment outside of AZBilliards that's for sure. My question is what makes someone Pro making money or skill level? She makes money so what. So do hustlers do we think they are Pro? Perhaps ranking? at what point does it go from better than average to Pro? Where is the line?

I expect a certain (high) level of play from somebody labeled a "pro" as far as pool goes, be it women's or mens.

If she puts people in the seats or brings new ladies and young folks to the game; Is that not what we are looking for? The industry is in the tank and we need new blood to fuel this wonderful sport.
I say we need a Danica even if she does only win one race on fuel mileage.

Yes. Stefano Pelingas message made it clear she got paid plus meals. Max Eberle announces her Posters and videos at $10 a pop YIKES! Then her so called gift shop below. It does not list her price for lessons but I know it to be $50 YIKES! A session at her home pool room. This game room has 2 pool tables a full size 12 foot snooker table and a 9 foot.

Then she is Filipina after all. They sure know how to make money one way or another. Notice how she promotes Ramon Mistica on her website they sure stick together.

Good point Lumberjack she is much like a Danica Patrick. Pool is a sport we forget that it needs promotion like any other sport.

New blood this is true, we can't forget that. One of the new girls in time will become the new "The Black widow" and others the new Ewa Mataya Laurance "The Striking Viking". Mary Avina and Borana Andoni and other girls like them will likely in time become them. They have fan pages fans that equals money if channeled correctly. The names "Queen Bee" and "Trick shot Princess" good names already with fan pages ready.

This kind of player can't dominate the game but they can bring people in. They reach outside of the hardcore pool players. The recreational amateur player needs the Black Widow. Like it or not she represents Pool in the mainstream culture.

Why is it that all you feel the need to come on here and trash this guys promotion for his pool room? Just because you arent fond of one of the players that is going to be there doesnt give you a right to bad mouth his promotion.
