What's the difference between the 3 and the 4?
o Over a decade of development, constantly improving and going strong
o Smaller and lighter - 0.38oz, 35mm x 21mm x 14mm
o Increased precision and accuracy with the latest MEMS motion sensor technology
o Increased Bluetooth range and connectiion stability
o Increased rechargeable LIPO battery life
o New mounting option with free cue butt device holder
o Software enhancements, including new Deviation chart

Is there a volume control for the beeps? Does it have to oriented as shown on cue?
The QMD beep volume can be controlled with the ringtone volume on your mobile device. The sound can be turned off entirely on the software's Settings screen. Also, pointing your cue upwards about 30 degrees or more will mute the beeps when you're moving around the table.

The QMD device doesn't need to be kept oriented on the top of your cue when in use, it'll work sideways or even upside down. You do want it on top, level and still when first switching on the device.
