I was at tournament on friday when I noticed a bunch of guys huddled around a table. They were reading the IPT qualifier location and date list. I mentioned about what has been going on with the non-payments, the possible breakdown of the Ho deal and the fact that the IPT is still poketing money from the qualifiers and web site sales and membership without paying out what is promised. They looked at me like I had 2 heads. I said you should probably research your investments before investing.

I was really surprised with the amount of media out there on the internet and none of them knew anything about it. It really is like the only way that many hear about pool news is via Paul Revere Press. (meaning: only by word of mouth.)

Strange isn't it? Talking about the IPT outside this forum is like talking about a movie that no one has seen.

That will change.

Hi I'm new to posting but have been following the IPT saga since Reno as a fair few of my friends are owed significant amounts of money. Surely the gathering mass of players forming to challenge KT's offer should put together a press release and circulate it throughout the pool world via email to all pool organisations, pool hall chains eg Riley's in the UK and through any other means possible in order to protect any potential "qualifiers" shelling out $2000 and getting nothing or maybe 1/3 of what they are owed in return. I personally do not know what the legal standing of pursuing such actions would be BUT I always take it upon myself to refer anybody considering entering an IPT qualifier to these forums before parting with their cash.

It's such a shame that people like KT can take so many people in. The IPT has wrecked peoples' careers, relationships and lives in general waiting to be paid what they are owed. I'm just glad I sat back and waited for the first season to unfold. It seemed to good to be true. Plus KTs reputation for being a lying SOB conartist preying on desperate people preceeded him. Bet he hasn't felt an inkling of guilt at all.
