The Secret Art Of Pool - Now Available

Just a bit of constructive criticism fella...

I know bud, and all taken in. Thanks for it, i'm always open to constructive criticism, i'm all ears.. I will keep amending and do an advanced version in the future, adding more and detailing a lot more.

Hi Joey, i could of wrote in great detail on numerous things, and made the book 500 pages long, yet then you over complicate things and people switch off, i looked on Dr Dave's site and the info from other people he has is far too much for people. Your making a simple game complicated and in my opinion unnecessary. As for the errors, i have fixed a lot, you have a limited edition version. As for the way i talk, well i blame my parents  and i wanted a personal feel with what i have wrote.

Coach Brett,

Personally, I like the brevity of your book. It's not too much fluff, but it's definitely heavy on the meat.

I'm looking forward to getting into it much more in the near future. The four contact points are TOP SHELF! I actually can't wait to get to the pool room again to practice it. :yeah: It's really kind of funny that the 4 contact points are a miniscule portion of the book and I am so excited I can barely stand it. Maybe your soft-sell about giving it a try is what hooked me. Anyway, there's lots more in the book and maybe I'll see you in the chat on Facebook to talk to you some more about the 4 contact points and power shooting...

If the pool players out there have never tried the 4 contact points, I urge you to go out today and try it for 15 minutes. If it works half as good as I think it works for me, you'll be ordering Coach Brett's book just to thank him.

A must buy!

Lee's book arrived a couple of days ago. For anyone sitting on the bench before ordering waiting to see what others think, it is outstanding! It encompasses everything that I had to painstakingly figure out on my own for 20 years and MORE.

Lee Brett should rename his book the, "REAL Secrets of Pool." I can't tell you how many videos and books I've purchased through the years that claimed to have 'pool secrets' only to be disappointed by snake oil.

The neat thing about Lee Brett's book is that, even for advanced players, it will help them rethink and perfect their game in areas such as the PSR. In my case, I already had figured out that I needed to turn the SC off etc. when entering the box. Lee Brett gives the reader a methodology for filing the concepts in the brain easily.

Lee Brett is teaching things that great players don't want you to know. This book would have shaved huge amounts of time off my learning curve, and as I previously stated, it will give advanced players a means of refining and verifying their methods.

He teaches proper fundamentals and mechanics.

This is a must have for any serious player.

Bought my book on the 11th and it still hasn't left the hanger.
It is supposed to arrive before the 30th but at this rate cannot see that happening.

:( i'm sorry its so slow on the shipping buddy, i hope you get it soon.

Just ordered mine tonight. It won't be here until the 11th of Dec. I live in the South East, so I wonder why it should take so long on regular shipping. It doesn't really matter, I am interested in getting to the next levels. I seem to flatten out for long periods of time, before a small, all most un-noticable improvement. I found that the most simple lessons I had thru golf instructions, were the best and most memorable. It sounds like this book is full of simple suggestions. The riches are always found in the details, and the Genius, is always found thru simplicity. I can hardly wait. And yet i still love the Dr Dave EOPS series of DVD's and books. Until I reduce it to thought-less action, it doesn't make for improvement. I feel sure that is what is referred to as thinking outside the box, and playing inside the box. Kind of like Zen and the Art of Archery.....
Looking Forward to Learning From You Lee.

Hi Al,

Hope it helps you to the next level, and you enjoy it. Regards Lee

Hopping to improve my game, just put my order this morning and it says it'll arrive this Dec 08. Can't wait to learn something new for me.
Thank you! Lee

Lee - Got the book in record time and have been using information from it the last couple of days and seems to have really helped. Pre-shot routine has been the most helpful. Looking forward to some DVDs as I am more of a visual person and would like to see what the v grip and dropping the elbow looks like to make sure I am doing it correctly.

I do have one question. I am left handed. If I read correctly in the stance you turn your lead leg toe to 1:00 position. If you shoot right handed, then you would be turning your toe out, but if you shoot left handed you would be turning your toe in. Tried that, but didn't seem to work to well, but then tried turning it out to 11:00 and seemed to work better. Am I missing something?

Thanks for writing this very informative book.

Randy

Hi Randy,

Glad its helping you, regarding the turning your toe/foot out, yes for a left handed player this would be 11 o' clock. The DVD series is being discussed in the next few weeks and hopefully we can start working on it straight away. There will be more in depth detail in the DVD series as well.

Regards Lee

Got mine last week. Started reading it a few days ago, I'm half way through and very impressed. Like JoeyA, I like that there is not too much fluff in this book.

I thought I had a good PSR but Lee pointed out some real key's that I have been leaving out. I am sure that this is going to be one of my top instruction books already. I plan to finish the book today. Have spent a few hours working with what I've learned already, my game is sure to improve and I still have 50 or so pages to read.

I'd recommend this book, it's stuff that has not been covered before IMHO.. Thanks Lee, hope to meet you if you make it to the DCC..

Thank you Joey for the kind words, hopefully it will help your game and you can recommend to your friends and other players wanting to improve.

I will be working on the DVD series in the near future and also be at the Mosconi cup and DCC.

Thanks again for the comments.

The secret art of pool

Great book very imformative. I have had the book for alittle .over 2 months and i can see a dramatic improvement in my game. I gives you the tools to really start to think rather than play the game. The v-grip was difficult at first but i had a minor accident where i sliced off my index finger knuckle kinda forcing me to use the v grip seeing how i couldn't bend my finger, now it is a natural grip. Can't wait for the videos
