Hey everyone,
My league night is tomorrow and I was just thinking about my match last week. During my match, a nine-ball shot came up that I just can't resist...
The nine ball was down table close to a corner pocket with the object ball almost frozen to the rail on the same side of the table about one diamond before the side pocket. I line up a high outside english stroke shot, hit the object ball squarely, and watch the cue ball awkwardly follow the rail down to the nine... then plunk...
Man, my eyes light up whenever I get a chance at that shot. I grin (and usually start to whistle) while lining up for the shot. I feel like I'm on top of the world when the nine falls. I'm only an APA 6, but (if only for that moment) no one can touch me when that shot comes up. It's the one time I'll ever think selfishly and not consider match score, table layout, etc... in my thought process. I just go for it.
Can anyone relate?
Thanks for the time-
J.
