The snooker game

I was 15 years old playing this guy snooker at the “SACKEM” a bar pool hall on Red Bluff Road in Pasadena Texas.

I was giving him 30 points for five bucks a game. Beat him 4-5 games in a row and he quit! Offered him 45 points for ten a game and he’s said yes! Well I broke the rack and ran all the red balls and started on the number balls and I said this game was over and he couldn’t win, but he told me he wanted to see me finish so I ran the number balls also.

He said I’ll play you another just to see if you can do that again and I broke and ran that snooker rack again, he shook his head and said good job lol! Good memory

Nice shooting!

I liked to play snooker, maybe the only person that did in Baton Rouge that didn't have a table at home. Snooker tables weren't too hard to find and there were devoted groups of golf players but that was all. They were ancient, gray haired and I was about seventeen or so. If I managed to get somebody to play on the snooker table with me I always shot fifty-six points and stop or miss to be more exact. Then we would peck away. My usual thing was to practice on the snooker table a couple three hours before going hunt action. Good times!
