Surprise, Surprise, I'm having more cue work done. hehe. I have all the plans for my Titleist Conversion completed, but we are putting it off until my cuemaker has a little more time. Anyways, i have been thinking about getting a seperate jump cue for a while now. I always like trying new things so I decided to go with a Purpleheart shaft/phenolic tip setup. I replaced the phenolic tip on my current break jump to have a little bit better control on the break, and to be able to get lots of draw on jump shots. I was going to go with a standalone jump cue, but have decided to actually have a second forearm for my jump/break cue so that no matter what situation, i will have the right, cue for the job. I like using both the leather and the phenolic tip for jumping. I like the phenolic tip for jump shots where i need lots of height and low spin, and i like the leather tip for being able to jump draw when i need too. As far as breaking i still havent made a solid decision on which i like best, so i will have both options available. The joint from the forearm to the shaft is a custom Foster design, but the Joint between the handle and forearm is modified uni-loc joint.
What do you guys think of this combo? Am i gonna have the Ultimate in Jump / Break cue or what!!
What do you think about using a purpleheart shaft? I have heard a few others talk about it, and it is a little denser than maple, so i think its going to be an awesome choice!
