After my last trip to check out the Mad Apple, in Appleton Wi a few weeks back, I had plans for today to go and meet a friend for some pool and lunch at The Varsity Club in Oshkosh Wi. as I had never been there, but the weather had other ideas. We had an incredible storm with sustained winds of 40 mph and gusts to 55. Winds all day today 35 to 40 or so and no power since about 2 am, and not expected to come back on till 11 tomorrow night. Been running a small generator all day, alternating between the freezer, fridge, and small heater. 14 degrees out now and temp is slowly dropping in the house, but we are fine and will be ok. This really makes you feel sorry for those that lost everything in those tornados just a bit back. May not get there till after Christmas now, but will give an update when I do. Power came on this morning, really nice having heat again. Still some neighbors in our township without power, with temps in the single digits.
