No apology necessary at all. We appreciate the passion! Making that change had been something we were actually already planning on doing. The name is The World Series of Pool, with the acronym WSOPool. Again, you should see every page on our site reflecting this change within the next few days.

Actually it is kind of weird and a little confusing. Also if you are at all concerned about being indexed in Google then you should already know that WSOP brings up World Series of Poker hits for the first couple hundred pages.
Isn't it possible to find some other name?
For one thing the WSOP events do well because of the fact that they draw thousands of people to play in them. No matter what pool will never be the same kind of thing like poker where anyone who can hold a cue thinks they can win a big event. Unlike cards pool shows the player their own limitations very quickly.
Sorry for being all passive/aggressive here but it's probably right to consider dropping the confusingly similar name for your product.

Thanks guys. With the complete lack of any sort of reply to my post #10, I thought I made the OP's Ignore list or something. Like you guys, I really do think the OP is going to run into big time problems with the name. The OP seems to be evading all queries and suggestions about the name, except when cornered, and saying that "WSOP" will be changed to "WSOPool". Unfortunately, that effort is like rearranging deck chairs on a ship that's about to be torpedoed for reef fodder. Tacking-on the "ool" does not remove the resemblance to the World Series of Poker.

Type in "World series of" in google and then add a different letter. You'll find hundreds of different sports and games using the phrase "World Series of".
I thought too the WSOP in the correspondence was odd, but IMO, "WSOPool" seems absolutely fine.
I haven't digested the concept of this league yet, but there are some pretty cool things about it that differ from other leagues here in Chicago. This format seems to be more pool hall day time oriented and less bar night time oriented.
We'll see!
